These STL files are offered without any warranties as a starting point for designing and making your own Bench Lamp/Magnifier.

The head of the lamp, bench lamp.stl, is sized to take the front of an inexpensive LED ring light, thee centre of which was cut out and a 100mm acrylic magnifying lens epoxied in place. You may need to re-size or design your own head to fit the lens/LED combination you are able to obtain.

Print two each of bench arm 1 and bench arm 2. Bench arm 1 has a hole along its length which will take a suitable twing-core cable, and should be fitted as the front element for each pair of arms.

Use M6 35 or 40mm screws with nylock nuts aside from three that take wing nuts and lock washers for adjusting tension. depending on your wing nut, you may need a couple of extra spring washers for the wing nut to lock the head in place.

The battery box takes a standard size sub-miniature switch, a Li-Ion charger board 20mmx325mm with a miniature USB socket, and a single Li-Ion cell. Be careful not to over-discharge lithium cells. It clips around the bottom of the lamp.

You will need a suitable chunk of steel plate as a base with an M6 tapped hole, mine is 10mm thick and has a shaped piece of felt stuck underneath
